Refund Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Overview
FundedOnChain accepts cryptocurrency only. Crypto payments are final on-chain and cannot be reversed by a card issuer or bank, so we operate a clear, written refund policy that you must read before you purchase a challenge. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms below.
2. Refund Eligibility
No refunds after Bybit API key connection
Once you connect a Bybit API key to your trading account, the account is considered “consumed.” Risk has begun: balances are credited, the evaluation clock is live, drawdown is enforced in real-time, and the underlying infrastructure cost has been incurred. From that moment on, the challenge fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether you have placed a single trade.
Refunds before key connection
If you have paid for a challenge but have not yet connected an API key, you may request a refund of the remaining cryptocurrency value, less any network fees we incur to send the refund. We do not reverse exchange-rate slippage between the time you paid and the time we refund — the on-chain amount we received is the maximum we can return.
Technical-failure refunds (admin discretion)
If a challenge becomes objectively unwinnable because of a confirmed FundedOnChain platform outage of four hours or longer that occurred while you held open trades, you may request a discretionary refund or a free reset. “Platform” here means the FundedOnChain web app and API only. Outages of Bybit, your wallet, your internet connection, NOWPayments, any L1 or L2 chain, gas spikes, or any third-party service are explicitly not grounds for a refund. Requests are reviewed case-by-case and require supporting evidence (timestamps, open positions at the time of the outage).
3. Crypto Refund Mechanics
Approved refunds are sent on-chain to the same wallet address that originated the payment. If you need the refund sent to a different address — for example, because the source wallet has been deprecated — you must request that change in writing from the email associated with your account. We will perform basic verification before sending to a new address.
Refunds are denominated in the same stablecoin and network you originally paid with, wherever possible. Network fees for the outgoing refund transaction are deducted from the refunded amount.
3.1 Crypto edge cases
- Wrong network / wrong asset — if you send the wrong currency or send it on the wrong network (e.g. USDC on Polygon when the invoice was Base), recovery is at our discretion and entirely at your cost. Some cross-chain bridges are one-way; some networks are unrecoverable. We will not absorb that cost.
- Overpayment — if you send more than the invoiced amount, the excess is refunded to the source wallet using the same SLA in section 4.
- Underpayment / partial payment — if you send less than the invoiced amount, the order remains open. You may top up to the same address; the exact remaining amount is shown in your order page. We do not automatically refund partial payments unless the order itself expires.
- Chargeback / dispute via fiat on-ramp — if you used a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp and it disputes the transaction with us, we may pause your trading account and any pending payouts until the dispute clears. Initiating a chargeback that we successfully contest is grounds for permanent suspension.
4. Processing Time
Once a refund request is approved, we commit to broadcasting the on-chain refund transaction within 7 business days. Confirmation time on the destination network is outside our control; the SLA covers initiation, not final settlement. We will share the refund transaction hash with you when it is sent.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@fundedonchain.com from the address registered to your account with the following:
- Your order ID and the email associated with your account.
- The reason you are requesting a refund.
- The wallet address you want the refund sent to (only if different from source).
- For technical-failure claims, timestamps and any supporting screenshots.
6. Disputes & Escalation
If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to the original support thread with the word “ESCALATE” in the subject line. A named human on our team will respond within 48 hours with a final decision and a written explanation.
This policy is governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction — to be confirmed], and disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration there. By purchasing a challenge you waive any right to participate in a class action against the operator.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The terms in effect at the moment you complete checkout govern your purchase. We will not retroactively apply stricter refund rules to orders that were placed before a policy change.
